Markku Mäki is the Chair and Professor of Paediatrics at the University of Tampere and Tampere University Hospital, Finland. He is a prizewinning researcher and author in the field of gastroenterology and particularly coeliac disease. He is visiting New Zealand briefly to share his extensive knowledge and insights into how public and medical perception of coeliac disease can be improved and how we can ensure best practice standards are implemented in the New Zealand population. Finland is the most successful country in diagnosing and recognising the medical needs of people with coeliac disease.
The event will be held at the Parnells on the Rose Garden:
85 Gladstone Road, Parnell, Auckland
There is plenty of free parking
6 – 7 pm canapés and drinks (cash bar)
7.15 pm presentation
Ticket prices:
$55 for professionals and $35 for non-professional Coeliac New Zealand members.
